Tips

  • Have conversations about  fiction and nonfiction texts and family experiences

  • Have your child participate in hands-on activities like play doh, kinetic sand, painting, beading, jelly beads...anything that gets their hands moving!

  • Talk about words you see (street signs, grocery labels,etc.)

  • Play  phonics "I spy" to practice letter sounds
